Scandisk Ultra Micro SD HC1 - data lost after uninstalling software

Hi,

I hope someone can help me recover my data.

I installed some software into a folder on my SD card but it didn’t work well so I uninstalled it and re-installed on my ‘C’ drive. Unfortunately, all other files on that folder have disappeared. All other folders on my SD card are fine. Is there any way I can recover the lost data? I tried one data recovery scan but those missing files don’t appear although other previously deleted files do.

Many thanks,

DL

Guys from https://www.aesonlabs.ca/specialize in cases like yours. Get in touch with them and they will be able to help. I used them once to assemble my fragmented videos from SD card. Hopefully, they can help you too.

To increase the chances of recovery, avoid using the SD card further to prevent overwriting the lost files. Sometimes, files might be hidden rather than deleted. Make sure to enable the option to view hidden files in your file explorer settings.

Then, you can try using free data recovery tools to scan your SD card. Some popular options include Tenorshare 4DDiG, DMDE Free Edition, TestDisk, PhotoRec, etc. If you need detailed guidance with the process, this blog post will be helpful.

Still no luck? Contact a data recovery service with a high success rate. You might need to pay big dollors on this.
