DO NOT USE THE SANSA UPDATER!
It is just as easy (or easier) to simply update the firrmware as necessary manually. Takes all of about 2 minutes and is easy as dirt. The Updater is nag-ware 99.9% of the time. Every day when you connect your Sansa device it will connect to a server and attempt to find an update for your player. This slows your system down, and requires that you acknowledge that it’s bugging you siince it did not find an update.
Updates only come out maybe once every 3 months or so. You can spend 2 minutes of your precious time once every 3 months to follow simple directions and update your player yourself, can’t you?
