Sansa Updater for e260 v1 - User Manual update dated 2/4/09 keeps showing up

Hello! I have a Sansa e260 v1. It was given to me for Xmas in 2008. When I first got it, I also put the software on my computer for the Sansa Updater. Anyway, each time I go to download music onto my player, I switch it to MSC mode, plug it in to my computer, and run the Updater to see if there’s any updates that need to be downloaded onto my player. Since February 2009, an available download titled “User Manual”, version 1.0, dated 2/4/2009, size 1.1MB keeps appearing on my Updater, and every time, I click the little checkbox next to it to start downloading it. The updater appears to download it successfully and finish the job. However, each time that I use the Updater to check for updates, that particular update keeps appearing. I thought that I already downloaded this. Why does it keep coming up? How do I get rid of it completely?

Also, I believe I registered my device when I first got it. How do I go about having SanDisk simply email me when there are updates available for my player? Please help me. Thanks.

Uninstall the Updater. There won’t be any more updates for the E200 series.

Go to the link for manual updates (a sticky near the top of the forum page) and get the last update if it’s not already installed, and the manual if you want it, and you’re done.

Uninstall the Updater. The last firmware update for the e200v1 model player was in April 2008. There won’t be any more, so you don’t need the nagware.

If you ever need the manual, it is here.
