I wanted to know if you guys could show me how to tell if my sansa e250 is v1 or v2? And after that I’d like you to tell me what the latest firmware for it is?

If you don’t know which one you have, check here. You can find the most current firmware here (for the v1) or here (for the v2), along with directions for doing a manual update.
Also note that the e200 is discontinued, so there will be no more updates. If you already have the latest firmware, uninstall the Sansa Firmware Updater program if you have it on your computer. It’s a waste of system resources. It will never find a newer firmware to install. And if you have other Sansa players, you still don’t need it because it’s just as easy to do a manual update.

Just check the second and third links I posted. The version numbers are right there in the thread titles, and those are the latest.
