it says i need a codec?

they are mpeg files.

It could be because my sound card busted, but i just want to make sure

I just checked and the videos play fine on my computer, just with no sound

do you mean there’s no sound due to your sound card not working?.. Does your mobo have a built-in audio chip so you can see if the sound works in the file at all?

Normally if it’s saying it needs a codec, that means you didn’t install quicktime when prompted to during the initial installationÂ
