Sansa Clip Wont Turn On

Hi,

Hoping someone can help

I’ve got an 8GB Sansa Clip that has worked absolutely fine for the year or so that I’ve had it. But it now will not turn on, or be recognised by my computer at all. This was all out of the blue. Was working perfectly last night, it hasn’t been dropped, removed incorrectly from computer or had any contact with water.

I’ve tried different USB ports, and cables, on two different computers, one running XP and the other Vista (it’s previously worked on both). I’ve tried holding the power button up, holding the volume + button, holding the centre button…all to no avail. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m lost without my mp3 :frowning:

Thanks x

Thanks for all the help!! :S

It’s suddently started working again but you guys have helped so much with all your suggestions…

Um, you had tried everything that I would have suggested, dude, apart from contacting SanDisk.

I would have said that a battery lead had come undone, but you said the player had been fine and hadn’t been dropped; and that seems not to have been the issue.

SAME PROBLEM HERE BUT THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THAT I HAVE A SANSA SANDISK 1GB HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!! I AM GOING NUTTTTTTS

And what did you try to do to remedy matters?  Did you try a reset?  And each of the other items noted in the first post above?  How about a reformat of the Clip–did you try that?  And a reapplication of the firmware?

Additionally, what is the “same problem” you’re having, so that people can be sure of your issue?

I plugged Sensa Clip into PC speaker then I took a nap. When I wake up, the Clip was off, completely off. I can’t turn on or connect with pc anymore. Does anyone know how to make it works again :frowning:

Have you tried a reset or maybe this?

To reset:  hold the on switch uppermost for 15 or 30 seconds.

You also could try forcing a connection to your computer:  with the Clip off and put into hold (so that the orange shows), hold the center button down when connecting the USB cable between your Clip and the computer.

Also, could your battery have become depleted?  You could try charging it again via an AC charger.

Hello,

Your problem is the sansa is dead The Battery Must Have Compleatly died When you plug in the sansa after a complete drain of the battery The PC Won’t Recongize The Player Will After A Few Minutes Reconize The Player Will Charge But Will It Will Take A While Don’t Worry You’re Going To Find All Your Music Back

Please let me introduce you to the period key .
