Sansa Clip+ 8GB won't turn on no matter what I do

Hello!

Last weekend I connected my Clip+ to my computer (it still had some battery power) to transfer some files.

It didn’t turn on after that. For a few days I have tried multiple suggested fixes: resetting it, leaving it to charge for a couple of hours then trying to reset again to no avail. To add to this, it gets really warm when I connect it to my PC.

Help would be appreciated as it’s the portable media player I’ve enjoyed the most yet!

Thank you!

The player getting warm is not a good sign, and could be indicative of a battery issue.

By any chance, are you still within the warranty period (1 year U.S./2 years EU)?

Unfortunately, the player getting warm is not a good sign, and could be indicative of a battery issue.     :frowning:

It’s still under warranty but I broke the clip off it some time ago.

I’ve also tried holding the center button while connecting it to my computer but obviously nothing happened.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Well, even though the clip is broken, the not-starting is a separate issue covered by the warranty.  I’d telephone SanDisk about getting a warranty replacement.

In the U.S.:  1-866-SANDISK (726-3475).  And other SanDisk contact information:  http://www.sandisk.com/sandisk-support/contact-us

I’ve telephoned SanDisk and they said exactly that - they’re going to replace it.

Thanks for the help!

Good show!  And, SanDisk Customer Support comes through again!
