i’m trying to copy files to the mp3 player, but it says that theres 900mb in use already, even though when i open it there is nothing in the folder. when i turn on my mp3 player there’s 100 songs on there that aren’t mine and that don’t show up in the folder, but still, 100 songs wouldn’t take up 900mb of space. so I was wondering if there’s anything I can do to remove the songs and get my 1gb of space back. i’ve tried to format the device already, and that hasn’t helped.

Try going to wikibooks.org and do a search for “sansa c140”. At the bottom of the page is a link to a firmware download. It is compressed in .RAR so you will have to download a program to uncompress it. Good luck!
