I have a SanDisk SDSSDE30-2100 that no matter what I connect it to it will disconnect after a while and I have to unplug and replug it back in.
I was hoping to update the firmware on it, but when I install SANDISK Memory Zone on Windows, it doesn’t see the disk, even though Windows detects the disk. It is not formatted with NTFS, or any of the FAT file systems, so Windows doesn’t mount it.
I would like to update the firmware on it without erasing the disk. It would be much better if you released some software that worked on Linux, but it doesn’t appear that Linux users are a priority for your company.
Can you tell me if a firmware update (that supposedly can be done with SANDISK Memory Zone) will fix this, I will probably go to the effort of reformatting it. But without that assurance, this device is really just mostly worthless.
This disconnect issue is usually fixed by firmware update—just temporarily format it to FAT32 to let the tool detect the drive, flash the firmware, then you can revert the format later.
