My Extreme SSE 2TB stopped being recognized out of the blue yesterday. I had formatted and partitioned another connected external drive but that shouldn’t (in theory) have anything to do with this. The Extreme SSD disk shows up in grey, unmounted, but I cannot get it to open or mount. I’ve tried using different, known good cables, but nothing. As with all of us, there is important data on this. I have heard of SanDisk having this problem but up until now I have not experienced this. Makes me want to never buy another one.
