Sandisk cruzer 16 gb trasnfer speed is low when transfering TO IT

When I copy files to this flash drive from HD the speed is VERY LOW, 2.8mb.

When I copy from this flash drive to my HD the speed is normal, 15mb.

I’ve tested it on 2 computers running windows xp and windows 7.

Big files, 100s of MBs, or smaller files?

Is the drive set for Performance or Quick Removal?

i also have micro cruser 4gb, upload is 4 mb (download is 8 i think) and it’s also Quick Removal

these are entry level drives. they typically have a write speed of 3 to 5 MB/s so your is normal. if you want something faster look into the titanium, ultra backup, or cruzer contour.
