Hey guys,

This might be a stupid post, but I’m kind of confused about Secure Access. If I upload something on it, do I need to download Secure Access on a second computer if I’d like to access those files?

Also, can I delete the “My Vaults” folder on the flash drive? Whatever I upload through secureaccess isn’t even in the “My Vaults” folder. 

Am I not getting the point of secure access, or is it the secure part of its name truer than the access part of it? :wink:

once you put something in the secure access application it is encrypted and stored on the flashdrive in the my vaults folder. you cannot open the files in the my vaults folder because they are encrypted. the my vaults folder is basically the encrypted database for the secure access application. do not dellete this folder.

to access a file on a different computer all you ahve to do is open the secure access application and copy the file to the new computer. you cannot install secure access to a computer.

secure access is just a password and encryption application that allow you to protect senitive files.

I think my question is related to the issue you just addressed.  When I set up secure access for the first time, since I’m a Mac user, I had to download the Mac version from the website.  I loaded it on my flash drive and opened it there.  I wasn’t sure that I had to open the program on my Mac but I must have since the Secure Access icon is at the top of my computer screen visible while in Safari.  I have experienced an issue when closing out my computer that Secure Access needed to be shut down before it can complete the shut down process.  Should this not be up and running on my computer?  When I plug in my flash drive I see 2 Secure Access icons on my Dock.

If you are saying the program should only reside on the flash drive then I should delete the application from my Mac and it should work just fine right?  Or, does the application have to be on my Mac for it to work?
