When my computer restarts, I need to manually start the ReadyCache program at which point I get the UAC window asking if I really want to let it run. It this supposed to happen or should it load automatically when I start up?
It should load automatically. The GUI you have to manually launch is just a user interface. The EC software is actually a set of drivers and services. The service should be auto started. You can verify this by going to task manager and checking the services tab. You should see the expresscache service is started. The GUI does not auto start.
I am now getting the same thing in Win8. It seems to be working, but the UAC warning is annoying.
the next version will have an option to disable load on startup. until then you can change the security settings of UAC to never notify.
