I have purchased several SanDisk CompactFlash and SD cards for my DSLRs, and noticed that when I register one it requires that I enter the serial number, but when I get the confirmation e-mail that the product is registered the serial number is not listed. I also visited the Support site and looked at the products I’ve registered, and all but one do not have a serial number listed (that one was manually registered through a support chat). Are they not being stored from the online registration screen for each product entry? If not, should we go through the support chat to register them?
@mjbernier memory cards do not have Unique Serial Numbers. What you see are date/ batch codes.
Do these steps:
- Take a high rez clear picture of the front and rear of each product.
- Log into the support portal and locate your Product Registration cases.
- Attach the images to the Registration Cases.
When you register SanDisk cards online, the serial number is required but not saved or shown later. Only chat support registration keeps the serial number. Use chat or keep your own record if you need it saved.
