When I plug the clip on an ampli, I have to put to volume of the clip to the maximum (even with the volume set to “high” in settings), then and I also have to raise to volume of the ampli almost the the maximum, to get the sound enough loud…
I don’t have this problem with my portable cd player.
What could I do?
Is there any small device that could amplify a bit the signal before tha ampli? (pre-amp?)
Thank you

What is it that you are hooking the Clip up to? It’s completely normal to max the Clip volume for this, by the way.
The volume difference with a CD player is normal too…I’ve connected mine to my home stereo with FLAC and compared to my CD player , and the CD player is louder. I bet the portable CD player’s batteries die before the Clips though
And yes, there are small portable amplifiers…look at the bottom of my sig for the cheapest/smallest examples
