I’m currently running Windows XP with WMP11. Recently, I added new songs to an already existing playlist, and I tried to sync it to the Fuze. However, the Fuze started systematically adding every song on the playlist, including the old ones. As a result, I got some duplicates before I caught it and stopped the sync.
I realize an alternative way to do this might be to sync the new songs directly to the computer, then create the playlist or update the playlist using Winamp. However, is there a way to avoid this difficulty using WMP11?
I’m not sure if this affects things, but I do not automatically sync - I manually select the playlists to sync and drag-and-drop them to the folder desired.

Yes, avoid using WMP11 altogther and go with your alternative method of using Winamp to create/mange your playlists.
Windows Media Player = Difficulty.
Winamp = Results.
Which would you rather have?
Lol, true. I know the answer’s probably in the forum somewhere, but can Winamp also sync the songs or is it just the playlists?

I only use it as a playlist creator/manager although I may buy the upgraded version to get .mp3 ripping availability. Then I won’t need WMP at all. I just drag & drop all my files. That way I have the control and the ultimate say of what goes on (and doesn’t go on) my players, not a software program.
There have been others here that reccommend it for syncing though.

Hi,
I am having this problem with Winamp and Sansa Fuze. I added some new songs to an already existing playlist. When I click “Send To:” –> “Sansa Fuze”, there is a quick dialog box that appears saying “Finding Metadata”. However, when I check the playlist on the Fuze, it’s not updated. Can someone kindly help me with this?
Thanking you in anticipation.
Sorry for added post, but I thought this additional info might help.
OS: Vista Home Premium
I think I had it in MTP mode earlier too when I had created the playlists and synced them to the Fuze .
Currently in MTP mode: Winamp recognizes it as “Sansa Fuze 8GB”
If I have it in MSC mode then it recognizes it as “USB Drive I:” and the playlists do not show up anymore.
If I need to start from scratch that’s fine too. I just want to get a process down, so next time when I try to re-sync, it will be flawless.
