playing music from a micro SD card on Sansa Fuze

I have a Sansa Fuze 8GB and am trying to use a 4GB micro SD card without much success. Have loaded music onto card, but when I insert the card I can’t find the music. Any suggestions? Also the card is recognised in system info.

Hope somebody can help

Matt

I am not an expert, but I have a 8gb fuze with a 4gig microsd.  I formated the card while in the fuze and I transferred my music to the card while the card was in the fuze.  I am able to see and play the mp3’s fine.

When the Fuze does a Database Refresh, it compiles the track info (froom the ID3 tags) of all the songs on the device and on the card (if one is inserted) and integrates this into it’s Artists, Albums, Songs, etc. lists. The songs on the card will not be listed separately. The Fuze sees, sorts & plays them all seamlessly.

2 possibilities. 1.) The ID3 tags have bad info or they are the wrong format for the Fuze to read them properly, so the songs are all listed under the infamous ‘Unknown’ category on the player or, 2.) the format of the song files themselves are foreign or un-supported and the fuze cannot see them.

Give us some more details and we’ll try to help figure it out for you.
