My new 8gb fuze has a little bit of side-to-side play in the thumb wheel. I can see and feel it if I move it side-to-side with my thumb. I can also feel it when I spin the wheel fast. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to fall out or anything, but It does seem a little bit looser than I’d expect. It’s loose enough so that I can hear it rattle when I shake it. I’m wondering what other’s experiences are with this. Does this seem normal? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!
Mine’s the same way. I’m not worried about it.
I forgot to add: the wheel on my E280 was much worse. It was loose and felt cheap as hell. The feel of it as it turned was very rough, like plastic grinding against plastic, and it felt like it might bind up at any moment and never turn again. Still, the wheel lasted through 18 months of daily use. The headphone jack finally started to give me problems, but the wheel was still going strong.
So I really appreciate how much better the wheel on the Fuze is. Beleive me, things could be worse…
