REEAALLLY annoyed that I have purchased a bunch of songs on itunes that I can’t download into my daughter’s shaker. Also annoyed that I can’t just drag and drop music from CD’s that she has. This is a very user unfriendly music player. i can’t return it because it was a gift that she received a long time ago and I just finally had time to sit down to put music on it and now I find out I can’t do anything with it…will probably be purchasing something else for her…anyone have any suggestions? I’m not interested in wasting time change files sixteen times just to put music on the shaker. very very disappointed.
Just another reason iTunes is such a pain. Apple has anyone that uses their service stuck with using their devices unless you want to jump through hoops to convert the music. If it’s DRM’d, then it probably isn’t even legal to circumvent their proprietary format to use the songs on other devices. As for “Dragging and Dropping” music directly from a CD, no matter what player you get, you will need to “RIP” it first to another format like MP3 or WMA. I prefer MP3 as it can be played on just about anything. There is free software out there, (like winamp) that will let you rip a CD to mp3 very easily, then copy the music over to the Shaker. You will find this true of almost ALL the players on the market, unless they come bundled with software that does it for you seamlessly and automatically. As far as user unfriendly, this player is no more difficult than any other I have used. If it all seems to much, perhaps an iPod Shuffle may be your solution, it would work with your iTunes and be almost as easy for your daughter as the shaker. I personally like to have a little more control over my music, so I am not a fan of Apple, their players, or their software. YMMV
Before you can play songs on the shaker you must first convert the files to mp3. You can do this on windows media player. Very simple operation. You would never be able to drag and drop songs from a CD no matter how good your player was. You must first download them to your computer, convert them and then drag and drop or syncronize takes minutes really. Hope this helps.
just use itunes to burn the track you want on a cd then use itunes rip the cd in mp3 format. this will strip the drm from the downloaded tracks. then drag and drop the files to the sd card. as for track on your cds you can not drag and drop these files to any player no matter what it is you have to rip the cd and convert the files to a compatible file format which in this case would be mp3.

Q: is this legal?
A: I believe as long as you use this for personal purpose and not share it with everyone, it is.
