Is there a fix for faster refresh? The same things that worked for Clip+ (remove ape and ID3V1 tags, etc) don’t make a difference on zip. Really need a fix for that if there’s not one yet.
Are your tags ID3 V2.3 iso 8859-1? Did you get rid of comments, album artist, composer and other tags the player doesn’t support? Perhaps you should also get rid of embedded album art. Is your file structure simple? If not, then simplify it.

The Zip refreshes a bit faster than the Clip+ with the same files on it.

All the same tricks that work with one player work for the other. Your tags should be set up like this…
