not charging

hey guys,

 my fuze is not charging no matter where and what computer I plug the adapterinto the usb ports and i wonder if it might be caused by the latest firmware updates?? please help me, i need to get this thing charged and im using windows XP

I don’t believe it would be the Firmware update.    When you plug the Fuze into the computer does it show that its connected and charging?  If you are not getting a connection try eliminating the USB cable and try another if you have one.  If you haven’t tried,  try pluging into the back ports of your computer if its a desktop computer.  I am assuming you leave your computer powered up and that its not going into hibernation.   Is your computer a laptop?  If nothing works contact Sansa Suport.

It is not a firmware issue or we probably would have heard this by now, The easiest thing to test is to go out ang get yourself a wall adapter so you can plug in to a wall outlet and then hook upi your USB cable and charge the fuze that way. If it wont charge then odds are its a bad cord or your fuze has a bug.

try switching your USB mode from MTP to MSC.

Before you go buy a wall adapter, try this, it worked for me.

  1. Do a soft reset, (hold power switch for 20 seconds)

  2. If it turns on, turn it off, and plug the Fuze into a computer.
