Update your firmware. This was added back in the 01.01.18 version.

Hi- I tried your suggestion- but it didn’t change any thing. I have version 1.17 on my brand new (Nov 2014) Clip Zip. I hate that I cannot play all, and that I cannot get rid of the shuffle.

But did you actually try manually upgrading the firmware to the 01.01.18 version, as suggsted above?  (You note that your player has version 17.)
