My sandisk clip sport does not read wav format

hello friends, my sandisk clip sport, 4gb version, with software version 1.43, does not read a file in wav format. This file has a duration of 11 minutes, I wanted to know what could be happening please, also the battery runs out too fast, I already have it for 4 years, and it did not have much use.

Based on continuous audio playback at 128 kbps MP3; video playback at QVGA 512kbps MPEG4; battery life and performance may vary depending upon usage and settings.

Hi, if its a song or music of any kind simply get a converter that will convert it from a WAV to MP3 format which will be ok on the device.
