Hi there, Anyone can help me why My Passport recognized as 0 capacity HDD on WinXP? It works properly on my other laptop with Windows 7. Is it a (long) cable issue? Or corrupted files? Or what? I bought new USB3 micro cable. I bought an active USB hub, too, to ensure the 5V voltage to the MyPassport. I checked the drivers and it works properly. My Windows XP internal HDD has NTFS file system, just like on the My Passport. Should I format the MyPassport to FAT32??? No any idea anymore. Why it is not working on Windows XP???
Not necessary to format
just use a software to test the drive
chkdsk and Data Lifeguard Diagnostics should help you verify the disk
