I bought a my Book when I had a wired router. I recently changed to using a wireless router( Clear’s Hotspot) and thought that just plugging the My Book in my computer would still work. Plugged it in, nothing. It’s not showing up anywhere. I’ve plugged it into my Mac running Leopard and my PC running XP, it doesn’t show up on either one. Called the customer service for Clear, rep told me to plug it in using the usb. Went through all that again. Looking to see if anyone can help me out without getting an ethernet bridge. TYIA.
My Book drives are not wireless, you need to plug the usb cable to the computer … if you have a network drive then you need to plug a ethernet cable from the router to the drive… lol
I know they are not wireless. I did plug it in, using both a usb and an ethernet and it’s still not being located.
