My book not showing up

I installed a my book 1325 on my computer but does not show up but on the devices screen. I can’t access it or any thing.

are you plugging it in a usb 3 port?

yeah i’m plugging it into a usb 3. I can uninstall it and plug it in again. it says it’s installing it but does not show up any where.

Try a usb 2 port. They seem to never work on usb 3

May be you can try connecting it to some different computer . Make sure that the My Book is directly connected to the wall outlet i.e not connected with any power surge or hub.
