Hello My Book 3Tb (1140) not recognized by Smartware pro Version 2.3.x

I resently bought another WD my Book 4Tb drive so i installed and updated the current version of WD app, but it seems like previews Drives not supported. How can this even possible ?

I can’t access security and I can’t make buck up to 3T, all option available only for 4T.

I uninstalled the application and installed it again from web. The same Issue.

WD Smart ware Virtual CD Manager : Please connect a WD Smartware Drive to continue : then click Rescan

Please find me an solution.

Hi Julian84, if you can access the My Book 3TB from the Computer/My Computer window, try to download and install the latest firmware update. Follow the link below, click on you My Book model and look for the latest firmware update.

I am trying to do the firmware update but it says : Disconnect all usb devices , reconnect only WD you want to update, and then click Rescan. I tried to desconect everything but drive, and the result were the same.

I did firmware update to 1.25 on another PC but after i installed WD smartware again of my new drive (My nook 4tb) i can’t unlock my first device.

Please Resolve my Issue.

I downloaded WD Smartware virtual CD Manager but the message is always the same : Please connect a WD Smartware drive to continue, then click to Rescan.

This message apears even if i uninstall all WD Apps.

Im very disapointed from this company, if you don’t know how to write software then don’t do it.

Again----> Please resolve this ISSUE !
