I have a 4GB Clip Zip which in which I have installed an 8GB micro SD card I used Windows Media Player to drag and drop many albums to the card and all of them included the art worl with no problem. All of a sudden, any new files I drag and drop the same way fail to include the album art. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas what might cause this. Thanks.
I usually have the best luck if I follow 3 rules for images:
1: Make sure the dimensions are square (I don’t think it much matters if you’ve got 56x56 or 480x480 or anything in between, just as long as it’s square)
2: I like using jpeg, though I think it will take other formats.
3: The pic should be under 20kb. Sometimes it may let a bigger file through for some reason, but if you want it to work consistently, this will do it.
Personally, I usually use MediaMonkey to get the artwork with “autotag from web”, and that usually seems to work. But if the album art isn’t available, doesn’t work for some reason, or I want an alternative pic, I use the free paint.net to edit pictures to achieve these results and it’s worked every time. It can be a bit time consuming, but the results are good. You can’t tell the difference between a 20kb pic and a 240kb pic on such a small scree, so it doesn’t make sense to clutter up your player with extra big pictures anyway.
