microSD's get corrupted

I have a 1tb and 2tb extreme plus microSD cards. The 2tb is to hold my music database on my android 15 blackview bl7000 phone, and the 1tb is for my galaxy tab tablet for videos.

I have been formatting the cards (SD Memory Card Formatter for Windows/Mac - SD Association) and putting in my devices. The music database is about 360 GB’s and I plug it into my jellyfin ubuntu server, mount the USB, then use cp to copy the music database over to the micro SD card. After cp is done I look in the some of the folders on the micro SD card and the music is there. If I perform an umount on the microsd card then remount it the music is gone in most of the folders.

Any help greatly appreciated.

That means the data was never fully written to the card, even though the copy appeared to be complete.

After copying, run sync and wait 20 to 30 seconds before ejecting. Removing it too quickly can cause files to vanish after remounting. If it still happens, the card reader or the card itself may be faulty. Run a full card test with a tool like H2testw

Windows and Linux are sluggish to flush writes so like Ellinor said patience is advisable
