microSD chip with e250

I loaded some mp3 files onto a new SanDisk Ultra microSDHC 16GB chip, and inserted it into the e250 mp3 player.   It does not display the chip contents.

Is some kind of initial setup required ?

Is it possible that the SanDisk chip is not compatible with the SanDisk mp3 player ?

Any suggestions ?

Did you put the card in while the player was off? Don’t insert or remove a card while the player is on. 

Is your player a V1 or V2?

Thanks, JK98.    My player is a v1.   That seems to settle the question.

You could install Rockbox on your player. I have Rockbox on my Clip+ and Clip Zip. it adds many features.
