low volume problems

Hi can anyone help please, i updated my firmware and now my volume is very low, i went into my settings and i have lost my volume control any suggestions please.

I had exactly the same problem and I’ve spent hours trying fix it.  I downloaded so many bits and pieces and have bought new expensive head phones and an amplifier!  I’ve emailed sansa and they’ve come back with nothing!

It finally dawned on me that it might be the european law about the dB.  I went to the system settings - reset factory settings and it’ll ask you if you are sure, click yes.  choose English but when it asks you the location put in North america.  Then choose the volume and put to high and exit.  This has changed my player from being unusable back to its former louder state - Im soooo happy!!  My husband has a fuze too and I’ve done the same for him with the same success.

Hope this works for you too…

Many Many thanks this is perfect now i can enjoy my music again. Can i ask one more question when you done this did youget something called slot radioif so what dose it do please.

That’s the icon for the SlotRadio cards available from Sandisk. 1000 pre-recorded tracks from multiple artists in diffeent genres, or catagories of music.

Check them out here.

If you don’t have a SlotRadio card, don’t worry about it, Just scroll past it.

Fixed! :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought the last firmware updated screwed up the volume and that I had to find the previous version. I am still convinced that the last Fuze firmware update added this silly European dB limit thing without any notice. Too bad SanDisk did not make that more clear when they proposed the update.

Anyway, the solution you proposed is working great and I can enjoy my Sansa Fuze on external speaker again.

Many thanks yopiyoga!

Fantastic I never would have worked out the North America fix thanks John Proctor

Many thanks for your help it worked and a piece of usefull info about dB’s

If you don’t want the SlotRadio icon (and I sure don’t) you can choose the third region option–Rest of the World, All Other regions? whatever the one is that’s not North America or Europe.

That post asking abvout the SlotRadio icon is from 3 years ago, BR. The thread was bumped up yesterday by someone else.
