I’ve tried multiple attempts at recovery of my Sansa e260 but nothing seems to work. There is only 1 file on the drive which is titled Version and is a text file. Can anyone help.
If you tell us what player you have and describe (in detail) what attempts you’ve made, then maybe someone can offer a suggestion.

Read carefully. Putting the wrong file on your player can break it so completely you might not be willing to do the work needed to fix it.
