Laptop unable to detect My Passport Disk Drive

Hello to all the WD Community people. I am a new user of WD My Passport Ultra which I’ve purchased on December 2013. Everything seems ok, until today after I try to connect the drive to a DVD player and Samsung TV. After I try to connect back my PC and laptop, all the devices seems unable to detect the hard drive in My Passport Ultra. After I try the troubleshooting in the device manager. It can be seen on the Safely Removal place but still unable to detect anything in the hard drive. Hope anyone of you can give me some advices before I turn to the shop that sold me the device. And the most important question, can all the data in the disk be retrieve safely ??? Thank you very much, sharing is caring.

The DVD could have corrupted the drive’s partition.

See if the drive appears on Disk Management.
