Any Solution for this,
I am using this passport hard drive for almost 2 years now, presently when connected to lap top USB, light on HD glows but laptop doesn’t detect, need to recover all the data on it.

Have you tried using another USB cable or another USB port? You can also check if the Passport is recognized on the Disk management window. Check the link below for more information.

I tried the disk management and it doesn’t appear there, but when I connect to USB i hear the disc turning for few seconds and then it is silent, no clue what’s happening
Exactly same problem here.
There seems to be no solution other than “clean your USB drive” , “make sure you try another cable”…
I am desperate to save my data!!
Dismount usb box, solder sata wires, connect hdd directly to pc. Pray there wasn’t hw encryption.
