Hi there, i hope somebody from you can help me with my problem.
My WD My passport stopped working 2 days ago or after connecting it to my laptop and copied some files to it.
When i bring it to work and connect to my deskstop PC, it was unrecognized already. The mechanical sound was almost
the same when it is still fine and the light indicator still blinking.
Please help me with my problem guys, i just want to retrieve all my file inside which are mostly work related.
Lets fix it please.

Is it not detected on any computer? Have you tried changing the USB cable? Is the hard drive detected on the Disk Management or Device Manager sections? Was the hard drive connected to a Mac?

USB cable has been changed but still cannot detect.

If the hard drive is only detected on Device Manager then the issue might be related to the actual storage volume. A firmware update is the next step:

If the update fails because it states the hard drive is already updated or not detected, then maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.
