Is there a good reason to install the newest firmware?

I’ve got 2.03.31 and it seems to be happy.  I’d rather just stay there unless someone can tell me a cool bell or whistle that’s available in 2.03.33.

Did you read the Release Notes in the Firmware Post?

Enhancements:

  • Max volume level is lowered in Normal volume setting to comply with new European Union requirement
  • Playback performance of mono WAV and FLAC files is improved
  • French and Russian language translation updates

Bugs Fixed:

  • Some language strings are incorrect
  • Device hangs during playback of corrupted OGG files
  • Minor audio distortion when browsing song list during microSD card playback
  • Audiobook and podcast counts are not correct in Info screen
  • Device restarts or freezes when Replay Gain is selected
  • Main menu bitmaps are corrupted after playing AAX files
  •  Device restarts/freezes after changing backlight to 10 sec
  •  Short video glitch at the beginning of playback

If none of these things affect you, then there’s no urgency to update.
