Is earphone impedance critical?

I’ve seen earbuds with impedances from 16 ohm to 30 ohm.  What impedance would match the Fuze players?  Don’t see that in the technical specs.

I think they do their battery life ratings with 16 ohm phones, but that’s really irrelevant. I have 60 ohm phones that I use with mine. Much higher than 60 ohm ,then the Fuze might start struggling to power it though, unless the phones sensitivity is high.

I believe the one that comes with the Sansa Fuze has 16 ohms… I use a 30 ohm headset though, still works… i don’t see much power consumption difference

16 ohms or 32 ohms really doesn’t matter, however  high impedience headphones(over 100 ohms?) might not work so well with the player.
