just purchased a scan disk clip sport. how do you get to the main menu. it is on radio and i want audio books

Take a look at Chapter 9 (pages 27-28).
Settings -> System Settings -> Customize.
The Customize menu allows you to choose the device features you want to display. Use the Select button to turn On/Off.
Thats my problem when I try getting to the main menu by pressing the back button or the entre button (centre button) nothing happens. It stays on radio
Hmmm. And your player is not in Lock Mode ? Can toggle Off/On by pressing on the Back button for 3 secs.
Beyond that, maybe try connecting your device to your PC and apply the most recent firmware.
