i inserted my slot music card, which cracked while doing so, may be a defect. anyway now everytime i turn on my clip i get this message. BTW, i have no downloads at all in my clip yet???
You’ve got some corrupted files on there causing the error message. Format it.
Turn off the Sansa then hold the center button while connecting it to the computer. The Sansa should now be recognized as a Removable storage device under My Computer/Computer. Right click on it and select Format.

For future reference, when you do add music onto your player, always leave some space for the player’s database. A recommended amount is 100mb to 200mb free space.
hello,
thank you for your help but it did not work. i could not get to format after following the instructions. my sansa clip + shows up under my computer as no name and when i click on it about 6 folders come up. (audiobooks, podcast, etc…) no what should i do?
If all else fails, contact Sandisk Support, 1-866-726-3475 in the US. You have a one year warranty in the U.S. You can also ask about your cracked slot radio card too.
