Hi all. Well recently my 4GB Fuze (with 4 GB micro) has been acting really weird. Whenever I click the back button or slightly tap the Fuze on something, it does a database refresh. Now i’m afraid of pressing the back button because of the refreshing.
Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with my Fuze? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Sounds like an internal problem to me, like a loose connection or semi-soldered point on the PCB. I’d return it if you’re within your dealer’s return policy window, otherwise contact SanDisk directly to see about a replacement under their 1 year warranty.
I sometimes have the same problem, and I think it’s a simple bit of mechanics–that hitting the outer rim of the << button slightly dislodges the microSD card, since the slot is right there, and that causes the refresh.
I’ve learned to hit just the inner rim of the << button with the minimum necessary pressure.
Tapeworm - I got mine over a year ago from Amazon. Who do you think I should contact first?
Black-Rectangle - That works great! Haha, I never thought of doing that before, thanks! It’s just too bad it can’t stop it from resfreshing in my pocket >.< but that will work when i’m careful and it’s in my hands! Thanks for the tip.

Good thing BR's suggestion works for you, because it seems you’re beyond the 1 year warranty offered by SanDisk, and I’m sure Amazon’s was much less than that.
So who you gonna call?
It just might be haunted, 'ya know. :smileyvery-happy:
