I don’t use the Sandisk Updater Tool, I don’t like it… I prefer to manaully update the firmware on my Fuze…
So, I’d like to request, if at all possible, that somewhere on the front page of this forum, perhaps it could state what the current firmware revision is, along with a link to download it, for those of us who don’t use the tool, or even Windows.
It would save me having to search through the stickies at the top to make sure a new firmware hasn’t been released.
Thanks.
You really don’t have to search through the stickies, per se…it’s on the first page of the firmware thread
That is kept current on the first page of that thread? Or will new firmwares be tacked to the end of that thread?

Yes, it’s kept on the front page because the thread is like 30 pages long now
Brilliant, thats perfect then. Thank you.
Whenever a new firmware version is released, a new post is created in the ‘stickies’ at the top of the individual player’s board. So you can always find the most current f/w by checking that 1st post. The subsequent thread that follows is (supposed to be) for discussion regarding the firmware update; bugs, glitches, problems, that sort of thing. They do occasionally go off-topic though so you end up with a 30 page thread.
But there’s no need to wade through all that if you are only checking for the latest f/w. The 1st (or top) post will always have the link for the .zip download and the date of release & change log listing new features or enhancements, bugs fixed and known issues that weren’t fixed yet, or were created by this update. And the manual installation instructions are always included too, so you don’t need the Updater.
