Formatted hard drive while usb was inserted

I Formatted hard drive & reset to factory settings while usb was inserted.
Now my secure access password doesn’t work.
I see my files still on the usb but can’t access them.

To regain access to your files, reinstall the SanDisk SecureAccess software from the SanDisk website and use your original password. Check for any backup vault files that might be available. If that doesn’t work, try using file recovery software to recover the files.

Try resetting the password through the software, or use data recovery software like Stellar Data Recovery, Undelete or Easeus to recover your files. Test the USB on another computer to see if it works. If needed, reinstall Secure Access software and try again. If nothing works, contact WD support for help.

You can try the BLR Data Recovery Tool to recover the formatted hard drive.

It might be helpful to redownload the SanDisk USB firmware from the official website to regain the files on the USB drive. Or you can try USB recovery software to access your data or recover lost files.
