I am running OS Vista and I the message “fat is corrupted, please connect device to PC and recover fat”. I tried to do what was recommend on other posts but because I am using Vista, I don’t have “my computer” or any of the other commands needed to resolve this problem! Help!
“My Computer” in XP = “Computer” in Vista.
If you can still access the settings of your Fuze, try using Format. This clears all information on your device so make sure you have backup copies.
If settings is not accessible, use the computer:

Turn device OFF.

Slide the Hold switch down to Lock (orange color showing).

Press and hold the left button ( |<< ) while connecting the device to the PC.

Look in Computer for your Sansa Fuze with a drive letter.

Right click the drive and select Format. Again, format erases ALL your files on the Sansa Fuze.
