Extreme portable ssd doesn't work on Galaxy tab s9

Hello,

I am trying to get the extreme portable ssd to work with the Galaxy Tab s9, but it won’t work. I have bought a hub to give power to the ssd but even then the tablet wont allow me to open the ssd. I would like to use the ssd for traveling, without taking a laptop with me. An tablet is the best option for this. The ssd is for the back-up of photos.

On the laptop the ssd works good. Is there anything that I can do to make the ssd work on the tablet? The tablet is finding the usb, but dont let the tablet switch operator to tablet.

Thank you in advance.

The Galaxy Tab S9 sees the SSD but can’t open it. Make sure the SSD gets enough power from the hub and is formatted as exFAT or FAT32 (not NTFS). Set the tablet to File Transfer mode and try using Samsung My Files. If it still won’t work, a lower-power or wireless SSD may be needed.

Hi all,

It took some time, but apparently I missed that I had to format to exFAT. After that everything worked. Even without hub. Thanks for the response.
