Extreme 120gb won't open in win 7

I bought the extreme 120gb today and wanted to install it in my Asus m4a78td-evo with a 3u6s controller . Tried to do a system image install of win 7 but it the installation appeared to have stopped half way through install ( no further update after an hour ) So I tried again with drive on mobo sataII bus Again it stopped. I updated driver to R201 Fitted drive on computer as second drive, BIOS sees it Win 7 sees it in device manager but does not appear in drive list Device manager says drivers are installed and working. I have read that I need to change drive letters but if win 7 does not see it how can I do anything with it. I will try to format disk using installation disk. But is this common or have I got a lemon ? Thank you

if it is seen in the BIOS it is most likely working normally. Check disk managment. Can you see the drive listed there? Does the SSD toolkit see the drive? Also if clone failes what cloning software are you using? try cloning in safe mode and see if that changes anything.

Hi Gmastra, if this helps, try to open up device manager and see if it can see this drive with a yellow questionmark?

i would suggest you to upgrade the firmware and i am quiet sure that it will run. you can use the below link:
