Hello,
I work for a media group and we have 5 Sandisk Extreme Pro CF 90mb/s UDMA 6 64GB cards. They are all the same. Yesterday I formatted two cards in one camera (Canon 5d Mark II) and then used two different cameras to film an event. After filming the
event, I came back here, put card 1 in my computer and it listed:
Capacity 53.9 GB free of 59.6 GB
images (IMG_0008 through IMG_0022, JPGs and CR2s) and
videos (MVI__0001 through MVI_0025, MOVs and THMs)
When I put card 2 in my pc after removing card 1, it listed
Capacity 41.0 GB free of 59.6 GB
images (IMG_0008 through IMG_0022, JPGs and CR2s) but these files are unreadable and appear to be corrupt, file sizes intact)
videos (MVI_0001 through MVI_0025, MOVs and THMs) but these files are also unreadable and appear to be corrupt, EXCEPT for MVI_0001 which shows a DIFFERENT but correct video than card 1.
So basically the issue here is that the file thumbnails on Card 2 are imitating the files on Card 1 and are leaving out a huge chunk of footage. Right now there is 18.6 GBs of data on Card 2 but inside the folder it only displays those 50-some odd files and their total file size is 2.23 GBs so where is the rest of the footage and how do I safely recover it?
Please help me!
