My Passport plugged into my desktop, was sitting on top of the tower. Moved my bag, the harddrive fell one side popped open didn’t notice at first. It was cycling through files. Stared making a beeping sound. Gave an error message that it did not recognize the drive. Unplugged / Replugged continue to hear beeping and light still flashing…however the drive is not showing on the desktop. Help, need to get at those files. My only back up.
When you drop a drive it’s usually physically damaged and beyond do it yourslef recovery. If you are thinking of professional recovery don’t do anything it can cause even more damage.
