Ive gotten my passport over 6 months ago. I had 750gb of info on there (Some of it very very important) from 1tb available. Yesterday i dropped the hard drive and it stopped showing up in “My Computer” it does tho, show in “devices and printers”. When i opened it the small CD inside does power on and off from time to time spinning but the piece of metal doesnt move to read from it. What do i do to get my files back?

Dropping a portable drive is the most common way of losing data.
When you say opened it, do you mean you removed the plastic case and then removed the steel cover from the actual hdd, so you could see the platters (small CD)?
