Cruzer 32Gb Flash driver write protect error

Hi,

I just bought a 32 Gb Cruzer and after copying some of my pictures to it, it jumps in write protected mode.

I know it can’t be zolved and that most probably the disk is faulty.

Now my problem is, being a photographer, the pictures on my USB flash drive are EXTREMELY private.

I can’t delete them because the write protection error, and I can’t send it in because these pictures are not to be seen by anyone other than my client.

What should I do, I want my €40 back!

Very dissapointed and this will be my last SanDisk purchase ever.

In some cases people who have written to SanDisk for an RMA and told them the private nature of their files have been allowed to smash the drive before returning it.

Really? Sounds intriguing!

Have you also checked the toggle switch? Maybe it’s on write protect mode.

Toggle switches are only on drives used in cameras AFAIK.   I’ve never seen them on normal USB flash drives.
