The clip will not recognize any songs, but shows 575 MB remaining of 1.87 GB memory. Is it possible to clear the memory and start over? Anyone have any ideas?
I am not sure what you mean by format, but I just updated the system to V02.01.32A. There was no change to the Clip after the update. Is that whaat you meant?
What format are your songs in? Are they in a format that the Clip supports? if they are protected WMA files, did you transfer them using Windows Media player or some other media player that transfers the licenses?
The songs are basically MP3 files that are not protected. And if this will help, the clip has been working just fine until this seeming meltdown. The files seem to be on the unit, hence the lack of memory space, but for some reason not able to read them. Thanks for any light you might shed.
Sounds like a MSC vs. MTP problem. Especially since it appeared after the update. Use the search function. This has been covered many times.
Thanks to you Mr. Miikerman, we are back in business. I reformatted just like you said and of course all the music was deleted. But the memory was swiped and I was able to download all of the previous music back to the player and it seems to be working fine. Have no idea what happened, don’t care, it works. Thanks for being on line tjo help!
